Birkenstock Blue footbed

The Blue Footbed utilizes the principle of walking barefoot. It is based on the impression left by a healthy foot in sand, creating a natural environment for your feet. Sizing:

• Birkenstock inserts run a little different from your standard sizing scale. We always recommend one full SIZE DOWN from your normal European size.  Do not worry that the size on the box is larger than what you typically wear.  The main sizing feature with the Birkenstock Blu Footbed is that the end of the insert should be sitting just behind your metatarsal heads.  If the insert is purchased too long, they metatarsal pad will rub on your second, third, and fourth met heads and will create undue pressure.  Please check the chart for proper sizing.  For the width selection, always default to the '2-REG' width as that works for medium to extra wide feet.  The '3-MED' is only for narrow feet.
